In this blog id like to how architecture and design has an effect on the climate/environment as well as what we will be able to change and consideration we should be taking to allow for a better and more sustainable future. as such I will b looking at things such as the sustainable, resourcing eco building and the responsibilities we as designers should take to allow for the building to be a better place.

there are many ways as an architect we can look into building sustainable designs are thing that to most people may be seen as "inconsequential" or overlooked is things such as the direction of the house, window placement and the way rainwater is collected. the placement of south facing windows offers a variety of benefits such as heating up your house during the day leading to the usage of energy that is being used for heating your house is lessened. implementing the strategy in a massive scale would mean that amount of energy that would be needed to heat up the house  would be "saved". during the summer south facing windows created with eaves will lead to the creation of shade as the sun will be higher up.  according to the Times leader the direction the window was facing matter in how much energy they are able to get with south facing windows getting roughly 1500 kWh about 5x more in the winter compared to northern solace in the summer.

the usage if the multiple methods look the one I've mentioned above will end up leading to a housing that are more energy efficient saying resources and leading to less co2 emissions which intern will lead to a slower climate change.

what are the effects of not being sustainable or designing for climate change. specifically on design and architecture. According to the United Nations Environment Programme the energy consumption % for buildings is 32% and the co2 emission rate is at 34%, this was to measure the effects of the climate from buildings as well as that 8-9% of global emissions is from the concrete industry. this is important to loom at going forward as it will be a base on which we should look to improve upon and plan forward about. for example looking at different resources other than concrete to tr and reduce the impact that it has on the environment
